The Houston Chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACRH) welcomes Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) President Baissou Sissoko who will discuss national and global trends in alternative dispute resolution, share ACR updates, and provide details about ACR's upcoming virtual conference for dispute resolution professionals entitled "Resolution Reimagined - In A Connected World" which will be held October 27–29, 2026. President Sissoko is a conflict resolution specialist, mediator, facilitator, and trainer with over a decade of experience in community, court-based, and institutional settings. He serves as Senior Program Manager for the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Mediation Program, is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Baltimore and is President of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Baissou is also the founder of the Keneya Ni Kalan Institute and the Community Dialogue Institute, has led conflict resolution training in the United States and Mali, and is a PhD candidate at George Mason University's Carter School for Peace and Conflict Studies.
ACR is a multicultural and multidisciplinary professional organization that serves mediators, arbitrators, educators, and other conflict resolution practitioners across the United States and internationally. Its mission is to promote effective conflict resolution practices, provide professional development, and increase public awareness of dispute resolution methods.
